New Horizons

This project involved editing a video for a youth shelter’s fundraising gala, designed to resonate emotionally with the audience and highlight the impact of the organization’s work.

Using limited, raw interview footage as the foundation, I shaped the content into a concise, story-driven piece that could be shown during the event. The goal was to create something both poignant and clear — a video that honored the individual’s experience while also communicating the shelter’s mission and support for local youth.

One of the main challenges was distilling a lengthy conversation into a short, compelling narrative without losing the heart of the message. Through careful pacing and intentional structure, the final edit delivered an emotional story that connected with gala attendees and reinforced the importance of the shelter’s work.

This project is a strong example of how editing can transform raw footage into a focused story that drives connection, awareness, and support.
